Dual Realizations through Ancient Practices and Modern Science

In my formative teenage years, I found solace and transformation in practices like yoga and meditation. These ancient tools, while undeniably transformative, sparked a realization – a recognition that alongside these age-old practices, modern scientific methods are indispensable. My clinical experience has unveiled a poignant truth: individuals, sometimes for decades, rely on medication to sustain their bodies, often losing touch with the essence of a normal mind. It is in this landscape that psychotherapy emerges as a beacon of hope, offering a pathway to healing and restoration.

Observing students fervently pursuing ambitious career goals has revealed hidden layers beneath the surface. Often intertwined with genuine aspirations are childhood issues, entangled with obsessive ambitions. Psychotherapy serves as an illuminating guide, untangling these complexities and paving the way for authentic fulfillment. Through the lens of empathy and compassion, I have cultivated a profound understanding of individuals without judgment – a fundamental skill applicable not only in psychotherapy but also in the intricate tapestry of everyday life.

In my professional practice, I underscore the importance of alignment or "matching" between therapist and client. My approach is anchored in mindfulness, from which a humanistic perspective naturally unfolds. Additionally, drawing from training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from the Linehan Institute, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and a multifaceted approach to trauma, I seek to provide a comprehensive and personalized therapeutic experience.
