You may have supported your family, led your team, and handled hard choices for years. Somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like yourself. At Bhatta Psychotherapy, therapy is not about being weak — it is about listening to what your mind is signaling before overload becomes a breaking point.

Common signals

  • More irritable with family or colleagues — even when you try not to be
  • You sleep, but wake up tired
  • You have stopped looking forward to things you used to enjoy
  • You are always “fine” on the outside — but rarely feel peaceful inside
  • Focus slips at work; decisions feel heavier than they should
  • Emotional flatness or numbness instead of clear sadness or anger

This is not weakness — it is a signal

Many professionals delay support until they hit a wall. Emotional pain is often how your system protects you from overload. The part that feels numb or angry is trying to stay strong. We help you understand it without judgment — and find clarity again.

The cost of “just pushing through”

Delaying real support can slowly erode health, relationships, and career satisfaction — even when you still appear successful.

  • Poor sleep or waking exhausted
  • Diminished focus and judgment at work
  • Irritability with partners, children, or teams
  • Feeling unmotivated despite outward success
  • Relationships that slowly cool while your career stays “on track”

Therapy is not only for crisis — it is for staying sharp

  • Identify root stressors quickly — not endless venting
  • Build boundaries without guilt
  • Balance ambition with personal life
  • Strengthen mental clarity and decision-making
  • Process anger, regret, or numbness without shame

Approaches include CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-aware pacing when past stress still runs in the background.

Common questions

Do I need a diagnosis to start?
No. Many professionals come for clarity, resilience, and better decisions — not because something is “wrong” with them. Therapy is about staying sharp, not only crisis care.
Is this confidential?
Yes. APA-aligned ethics and Nepal privacy standards. Your employer, family, or colleagues are not contacted without your consent.
Can I attend from abroad or on a busy schedule?
Yes. Secure video sessions work for executives and diaspora clients. Evening and weekend slots are discussed at booking (Nepal Standard Time).
How is this different from general individual therapy?
The focus is work stress, burnout, perfectionism, leadership pressure, and midlife transitions — paced for people who are used to performing under pressure.
What are session fees?
Contact the clinic for current session fees — we confirm before your first full session. See individual therapy for session formats and booking.
What if I am in crisis?
We are not an emergency service. In Nepal, call the TUTH Helpline at 1166 (24/7) or use local emergency services in your country.

What actually happens in the first session

Not knowing is the most common reason people delay. Here is the honest version.

  1. 1

    Confidentiality first

Your therapist explains what stays private and the narrow limits to that. Nothing goes to your family, employer or college.

  2. 2

    You talk, at your pace

A guided conversation about what brought you in and what you want to change. It is not an interrogation, and you decide what you are ready to say.

  3. 3

    You decide what is next

Together you agree on pace and format — or agree that ongoing therapy is not what you need right now. One session does not commit you to a course.

Confidentiality is the question most professionals ask first: nothing is shared with your employer, and sessions can be scheduled outside working hours.

You will not be forced to relive anything. Nothing painful gets opened before you are ready — pacing is the therapist’s responsibility, not yours.

You do not need a diagnosis. Most people arrive describing how they feel, not what it is called.

Fees are confirmed beforehand. We do not publish rates online; you will know the cost before your first full session.

You can change your mind. If it is not the right fit, say so — we would rather refer you well than keep you.
