These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Bhatta Psychotherapy about your use of bhattpsychotherapy.com and the content we publish. By browsing the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
1. Who we are
Bhatta Psychotherapy is an online mental health practice based in Nepal, providing psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological coaching to adults, adolescents, and couples in Nepal and to Nepali-speaking clients abroad.
Practice: Bhatta Psychotherapy
Address: Anurag Marg, Kathmandu 00182, Nepal
Email: bhattapsychotherapy@gmail.com
Clinician: D. Bhatta
2. Using this website and our content
This website, our blog articles, our guides, and our videos are educational. They are written to help people understand mental health, not to diagnose or treat any individual.
Nothing you read or watch here is medical advice for your particular situation, and it is not a substitute for assessment or therapy by a qualified professional who knows your history.
3. Not an emergency service
This website is not monitored around the clock and cannot provide emergency help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services now. In Nepal you can call the TUTH Helpline on 1166. If you are outside Nepal, use the emergency number or crisis line for your country.
Please do not use the contact form, email, WhatsApp, or the website chat for a crisis or an emergency, because those channels may not be seen in time.
4. No therapist–client relationship from browsing
Reading this website, watching our videos, following us on social media, or messaging us does not create a therapist–client relationship.
A therapeutic relationship begins only when we have both agreed to it in writing and your first session has been confirmed. Confidentiality and clinical duty of care start at that point, under the terms set out in our confidentiality and data-safety page.
Comments, direct messages, and replies on social platforms are not a therapy channel. We do not provide clinical advice there, and anything you post publicly is governed by that platform’s own rules.
5. Acceptable use
When using this site you agree not to:
- use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms another person;
- attempt to access areas, accounts, records, or systems you have not been authorised to use;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the site, or interfere with its normal operation;
- scrape or bulk-copy the site, or use automated tools to overload or mirror it without our written permission;
- impersonate Bhatta Psychotherapy, D. Bhatta, or another person, or misrepresent a relationship with the practice;
- submit false details in a booking or intake form, or submit another person’s information without their consent.
We may limit or block access where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
6. Intellectual property
The text, articles, guides, design, layout, logos, audio, and video on this site belong to Bhatta Psychotherapy unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright.
You are welcome to read, watch, link to, and share our pages using the platform share buttons, and to quote a short extract with clear attribution and a link back to the original page.
You may not republish, re-upload, translate, or redistribute our articles or videos in full, or present them as your own work, without our written permission.
7. Third-party links and platforms
The site links to services we do not run, such as booking tools, review platforms, map listings, and social media. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them.
8. Social media and API publishing
Bhatta Psychotherapy publishes its own educational videos and posts to social platforms including YouTube and TikTok. Some of this publishing is done automatically through those platforms’ official APIs.
Where we use the TikTok Content Posting API:
- Only our own content is published. The publishing connection is used solely by Bhatta Psychotherapy to post videos and captions that Bhatta Psychotherapy created and owns. We do not post on behalf of visitors, clients, or any third party.
- We do not collect TikTok data from visitors. The connection authorises our own practice account. It is not used to sign visitors in, to read visitor profiles, or to gather information about TikTok users. The only TikTok information we handle is what is needed to publish our own videos — described in our privacy policy.
- We follow TikTok’s rules. We comply with TikTok’s Terms of Service and TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation, which confirms that we hold the rights to the music used in videos we upload through the API.
- You can revoke access at any time. The practice account holder may disconnect the connection from TikTok’s settings, which stops all further publishing immediately.
The educational-content and not-medical-advice sections above apply equally to everything we publish on social platforms.
9. Disclaimers
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we provide it “as is” and make no promise that it is complete, error-free, or suitable for your particular circumstances. Mental health information changes as research develops.
We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption or free of technical errors, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law of Nepal allows, Bhatta Psychotherapy and D. Bhatta are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its educational content, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Clinical responsibility is governed separately by the engagement you agree to when therapy begins, and by the professional standards that apply to practice in Nepal.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the website, our content, or the platforms we use change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date below.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear on the site. Your continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, or a request to reuse our content, can go to bhattapsychotherapy@gmail.com or through the contact page.
For how we handle personal information, see the privacy policy and how we protect your information.
