Age: who we can see
Bhatta Psychotherapy provides adolescent psychotherapy for young people aged 14 and older. Children under 14 should be referred to Kanti Children’s Hospital pediatric psychiatric OPD. Young adults 18+ are usually seen under individual psychotherapy.
How to book
Use our secure Setmore page — note “teen” or “adolescent counseling”
Or start with a free 10-minute parent clarity call if you are unsure
Choose in-person (Anurag Marg) or secure video
Fees and cancellation policy are confirmed before the first full session
Teen can join clarity call briefly if they are willing — not required
The psychologist explains confidentiality and invites the teen to share what brought them in. Parents are not in every session — teens need privacy to open up. We involve parents when safety requires it or when the teen agrees.
Teen sessions follow the clinic fee schedule — contact the clinic for current rates. Weekly sessions are common at first; spacing out as stability returns.
Not an emergency service
If your teen is in immediate danger, use local emergency services or in Nepal call TUTH Helpline 1166 (24/7). Therapy with us is for scheduled ongoing support when safe enough to attend.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book without telling my teen first?
Better to involve them early — forced first sessions often fail. Clarity calls help you plan the invite.
Do both parents need to consent?
One guardian can book; we clarify legal custody if relevant.
Is online OK for teens?
Yes with privacy — headphones, closed door, stable connection.
